TSJ OP-ED
Team Edward or Team Jacob?
We had to address it. The most divisive issue of our time. Vampire or werewolf? Cullens or Quileutes? Questions that scholars will wrestle with for eternity, no doubt. But I didn’t bring you here today to divide you, instead, I propose we come together in agreement over a simple fact: The Twilight Saga is the greatest move franchise of all time.
In a world where glittering vampires and brooding werewolves reign supreme, the Twilight series emerges as the indisputable zenith of cinematic genius. Forget about ho-hum series like Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, or Harry Potter – the battle for the title of "Best Movie Franchise of All Time" has been won by none other than a moody teenage love triangle.
This Halloween, why settle for zombies or witches when you can bask in the timeless glory of a saga where characters take themselves as seriously as a vampire takes their SPF 1000 sunscreen? Edward Cullen's moody stares could put any pumpkin's carved-expression to shame, while Bella Swan's unparalleled skill of attracting supernatural creatures could make any witch jealous. Hold on tight, spider monkey.
And let's not forget the unparalleled, groundbreaking special effects. What beats awe-inspiring sparkling vampires? Aggressively red contact lenses? Move over, Avatar, you're just a bunch of low-res, blue aliens compared to these dazzling bloodsuckers.
So, as you put on your sparkling vampire makeup and practice your pouty expressions in the mirror, remember that this Halloween, there's no contest – the Twilight series reigns supreme, proving that sometimes the scariest thing is not the monsters in the dark but the unstoppable force of a teenage vampire love story.
The greatest cast in the history of cinema
