TSJ DEEPDIVE
Sally’s Apizza is coming to Seaport.

Extremely cheesy news for all of the pizza fanatics in Seaport: Sally's Apizza, straight outta Connecticut, is opening up a new location in our beautiful neck of the woods come 2024.

Where exactly will they touch down? Sally’s added a bird's eye view of Fan Pier to their website, but the only thing missing? The exact address, so be on standby for that. It’s worth mentioning, this isn’t one-and-done for Sally’s; they’re also opening a new location in Woburn Village soon (not that anyone has ever cared about Woburn!).

Now, if you haven't heard of Sally's Apizza, you're missing out on a slice of history. They've been slingin' pies since 1938. Dave Portnoy, of Barstool and pizza fame, has famously declared New Haven, Sally’s birthplace, the Pizza Capital of the World and gave Sally’s a 9.2 rating. One of his highest scores of all time.

What sets Sally's apart? Only one correct answer: their coal-fired ovens. The crust gets an impressive char that you can’t replicate with any old run-of-the-mill oven. So, mark your calendars, Seaportians. 2024's gonna be the year Sally's Apizza docks in the Seaport, and we're ready to welcome them with open mouths and wallets. The Seaport is officially a pizza-desert no longer!

Thanksgiving food pictures from TSJ loyalists.

We are officially back to our regularly scheduled programming of featuring reader-submitted food pics (for some reason). This week, as you can imagine, we saw a lot of turkey, stuffing, and mashed potatoes, so I feel like you should be subjected to this too?

Let us know if any of these dishes look particularly delicious…
