TSJ DEEPDIVE
Seaport deserves a sweet treat (like many of us).
Mia’s Bakery, a beloved source of crispy, sweet treats that has been a Brooklyn staple for the last eight years, has officially expanded to Seaport aiming to captivate the taste buds of you dessert enthusiasts out there. Mia’s made its Bay State debut with the opening of its location in Chestnut Hill back on November 8 and now it’s already here in Seaport to continue its march towards world dessert domination. Hingham: you’re next.

Teli Spyropoulos, the manager of Mia’s Bakery, stated, “We’ve fallen in love with Massachusetts and are thrilled to be working with the WS Development team to bring another New York favorite to the Boston area. Mia’s was only started back in 2015 when two families, bonded by their love for sweet treats (common thing to love, just sayin), established the bakery in Brooklyn. Mia’s quick rise to fame and expansion has been impressive. Will they be able to maintain their quality at their new Boston locations? The entire staff here at TSJ has volunteered to hold them to account, day in and day out.
Mia’s menu features classic cakes, pies, cupcakes, and more. Among their signature items is the renowned New York Style Cheesecake, available in various flavors such as Brooklyn Blackout Cake and Banana Cream Pie, offered both as whole cakes and by the slice. We’d be remiss not to mention Mia’s Tres Leches cupcakes, which I may or may not have tried out this weekend, are divine. All items are freshly baked on-site daily, so get your butt over there nice and early tomorrow morning!

How many modern day Navy Seals do you think it'd take to win the American Revolution in 1776?
Am reading about American Revolution. England had ~50k soldiers in the war.
They'd park their ships near shores for weeks before attacking, but American cannons couldn't accurately… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…

A busy weekend in Seaport through the eyes of TSJ readers…
Another crazy winter weekend in Seaport has passed. Mia’s Bakery was in full swing, I guess some of you eat salads during the winter (?), and a protest almost closed down Snowport! Check it out through the eyes of TSJ readers…
